Visa procedure in Uzbekistan
To visit Uzbekistan, visa is needed. Uzbek visa can be obtained at any Uzbek Embassy or Consulate . Visa upon arrival at airports or borders is not available. To get the visa one would need visa support, which can be provided by local tour operator. Visa support procedure takes 7 working days. Local tour operator applies visa support letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and when authorization number is gotten, one copy of visa support is sent to respective Embassy or Consulate and another one to a client.
To apply for visa support, tour operator needs the following information:
- Full name
- Passport number
- Date of issue of passport
- Passport validity
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Place of work
- Copy of passport
Tourist visa can be opened for maximum 21 days, multiple entries.
The cost of the visa: for groups (10 and more) – US$ 25 p/p; for individuals – US$ 50 p/p (the cost of visa may slightly vary from country to country).
For the citizens of Japan, Germany, Austria, Spain and Switzerland, France, Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland the Uzbek foreign Ministry's missions abroad will issue visas within two working days. And the requirement to provide an invitation from a legal entity registered in Uzbekistan has been abolished.
